The Great Lozapalooza Raffle & Auction

Alongside all the fantastic acts at Lozapalooza, we’ll also be holding a special Raffle & Auction in support of the Max & Jasper Trust Fund.

All the raffle and auction items have been generously donated to us by Lozapalooza supporters - you can see a full list of the items up for grabs below. A massive thanks to everyone who’s donated prizes.

How to bid
Raffle tickets will be available exclusively on the day of Lozapalooza, but we’re inviting ‘sealed bids’ for the big ticket Auction items.

Send us an email at (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) with details of the item you’re after and how much you’re willing to pay, and we’ll submit the bid on your behalf at the Lozapalooza auction on the evening of the 21st Feb. You’ll be up against lots of other Lozapalooza bidders though, so you’ll have to bid high if you want to win!

A Wine Tasting for Six followed by supper
Get some friends together and bid for this great offer worth £250. No experience needed - just an open mind and a mouth. We’ll be tasting some of the best that the Rioja area in Spain has to offer starting from 2000 and on up to 2005. Followed by a four course food experience when we’ll (regrettably) have to finish the rest of the wine… Near Constantine at the top of a hill.
(donated by Andrew Edmonds)

A weekend getaway in Penzance
A week (or a long weekend) in a lovely converted chapel flat in Penzance. Centrally located, close to train station, just a short walk to the beach or the many delights Penzance has to offer… It’s on the first and second floors. 2 bedrooms (1 double, 1 bunk-beds). Brand spanking new bathroom with shower (no bath). A huge chapel window looks out from an airy open plan dining/living room and kitchen, across rooftops to the sea. A mezzanine level has a reading area with a gorgeous view to the sky and St Michaels Mount . There’s also another double mattress in a romantic cubby hole on the mezzanine if required (note that the mezzanine level is not really child friendly…). Free wifi access. Bring your own towels and bedclothes. More a home from home than a holiday home. Dates subject to availability - the winner can get in touch with the owners direct and sort out the best time for them. (Donated by John and Penny Best)

A Long Weekend in a Seaside Cabin
A long weekend for two (or three) in a wooden cabin overlooking a West Cornwall cove.

This little hut is basic but has all mod cons (simple kitchen, shower, double bed, single bed, heating. barbecue) and stunning views out across the Atlantic.  Think of it as camping in comfort! Parking available down below and a steep climb up steps to the cabin but once you are there you don’t need to move (though the walks from here are world-renowned).  No tv, no phone, no broadband, no mobile signal – just LW radio and the stars for company. A lovely small beach, good swimming and a teashop serving excellent cakes, ices and pasties in the cove below.

You can stay Friday – Monday (three nights) on June 11-14 or September 17-20.

Electricity, towels and bedding included.  Pets by arrangement.

Photo shoot with Steve Tanner
An exclusive photoshoot with one of the southwest’s finest photographers, Steve Tanner.

A Personalized Love Ode & Breadmaking Masterclass
With Cornish poet, writer and breadmaking guru Annamaria Murphy.

Original artwork from TANK GIRL
A piece of original artwork from the cult graphic novel Tankgirl, along with the comic it eventually ended up in, and a brand new Tank Girl graphic novel. Super-collectable and very, very cool!

All about Lozapalooza

LOZAPALOOZA is a special tribute event in memory of our friend, festival organiser, filmmaker and fanatical vegan Laura Hardman, who sadly passed away last year.

This fantastic one-day festival will be taking place on Sunday 21st February 2010 at the Acorn Arts Centre in Penzance, and will feature an eclectic extravaganza of music, film and live performance specially commissioned for the event.

All proceeds from Lozapalooza will be donated to the Max & Jasper Trust Fund, a charitable fund which has been established to help provide financial support for Loz’s two young sons, Max & Jasper.
